| BIOGRAPHY |
Matthew is a born leader. Every time he crosses the white line in a Duddon shirt he gives everything he has and some times more.
It isn't uncommon for Matthew to give, literally, blood sweat and tears for the cause.
Regarded by many as one of the best defenders in our area Matthew has many fans. But, last season, I decided upon switching Matthew into the centre of midfield. An excellent ball winner, typically British style footballer. A no nonsense approach sometimes gets him into trouble with match officials, although I am always quick to jump to Matthew’s defence because he is a born winner and he never intentionally goes out to harm another player.
