Duddon started the game on the attack but had failed to bring their shooting boots to the game as first Watters shot over the bar, Andy and Dec shooting wide. Duddon won a corner which was swung in by Andy to find Chris free on the 6 yd line but his header went wide of the post. A move out of defence started by a great through ball by Matty saw Thommo slide the ball through for Watters but the Walney keeper was quick off his line to slide in an win the ball at Watters feet. Danny attacked down the right, passed tha ball down the line for Thommo who crossed first time on to the head of Watterd but he headed wide. Thommo then flicked the ball on to Dec but his shot was saved, with all their dominance, Duddon were finding it hard to hit the back of the net. Finally the deadlock was broken as another Duddon attack saw Sloany square the ball for Callum who looked up and from 25 yds out slammed the ball into the back of the net for a deserved 1-0 lead. Walney almost responded straight away as a great 1-2 through the midfield saw the Walney striker clear on goal but Woody came out quickly and saved the shot. A busy performance by Callum saw him win the ball on the right wing and he burst into the box and squared it for Dec, who turned and fired a good shot but straight at the keeper. Neil came on for Chris and straight away fired a ball into the box which Dec flicked up but volleyed wide. Duddon won a free kick 30 yds out for a high boot and up stepped Neil to rifle the shot goalward, but this time it just drifted wide. The second half started as the first had ended with Duddon on all out attack and within minutes of the re-start Duddon were 2-0 up Andy stormed into the box but was tripped on the way giving the referee no option but to blow for a penalty which Callum cooly slotted into the corner. Moments later Watters pumped the ball into the box only to see it cleared but he reacted quickly and pounced on the rebound but his shot went high and wide. An attack by Walney was easily stopped by the Duddon defence and Woody threw the ball out to Thommo who launched a great 40 yard ball over the top for Watters but agin his shot was easily saved. Another ball into the Walney box saw the ball break to Callum who's quick turn led to a fould by the defender and another penalty for Duddon. This time, Neil stepped up and fired home for 3-0. Within a minute Duddon were 4-0 up as Thommo tried to walk the ball through the whole Walney defence but as the ball was blocked it broke to Dec who fired the ball into the back of the net. A few minutes later and Duddon were 5 up as a long cross over from Neil was deftly headed into the path of Dec by Rowley and after getting the ball from between his feet, fired home from 10 yds. Goals were no going in at a rate of 1 every few minutes as the Walney defence seemed to start tiring. Next on the list was Callum again who completed his hat-trick with a shot which went in off the underside of the bar. Duddon won a corner which Neil floated in to find Dec unmarked and he volleyed, the shot was blocked, fell to Thommo who fired in from 10 yds for 7-0. Then it was Watters turn to score as first he fired in from 30yds, then latched on to a Thommo pass to slide the ball past the keeper for 9-0. Duddon were relentless and attacked for more goals but nothing came until a few minutes from time when the ball broke clear to Neil who dodged past a Walney defender and then rifled the ball into the top corner from the edge of the box for a final score of Walney Island 'B' 0 Duddon Sports 10.
